Quantity Surveyor/Estimator - Small Works & Cyclical Decorations

Description
To maintain established profit margins
To improve where possible company profits
To act in accordance with Company policy regarding financial dealings on behalf of the Company
To ensure contracts are financially controlled, to budget and to the clients requirements
To foster good working relations with the Client, Client Advisors and Sub Contractors
To manage target costs
To manage the measurement, valuations, applications for payment and final account
To prepare monthly cost reconciliation for Divisional Manager and Board of Directors
To undertake site visits in preparation of all tenders and take photographs
To prepare tenders based on estimating procedure guidance notes (copy to be supplied)
to price all works in line with current market conditions

Experience Required
An experienced Quantity Surveyor with substantial experience in managing and surveying in the construction industry
The position requires comprehensive knowledge of estimating small works and decorations tenders - value range £10,000 to 2 1/2 million
Experience in cyclical maintenance/refurbishment project would be desirable
A suitable and recognised qualification in building is an advantage
